Get your official acceptance letter from the DLI. This is required for your study permit application.
Show you have enough money: first year tuition + CAD $10,000 for living expenses (or CAD $11,000 for Quebec).
Submit your study permit application through IRCC's portal. Include your DLI acceptance letter, financial proof, and other supporting documents.
Provide biometrics at a VAC. A medical exam may be required depending on your country of residence.
If approved, you'll get a Letter of Introduction. The actual study permit is issued at the Canadian port of entry.
Present documents at CBSA when you arrive. Your study permit is issued at the border. You can start studying!
The Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) lets you work in Canada after completing your studies at an eligible DLI.
